Jill Ulrich

Bio

I'm from Kansas City, MO, where I was involved in supplementary education for recently arrived Mexican illegal immigrants. I was on the Board of Directors for Transformational Journeys, a non-for-profit organization that encourages humanitarian service trips to Guatemala, Dominican Republic, and Brazil. I worked with health teams in coffee-producing communities in the Guatemalan highland as well as with a school for underprivileged children in Ciudad Vieja, Guatemala. I was also involved with Brazilian children and youth programs in Recife, Brazil. Now I'm an undergraduate student at the University of Miami in international studies. My interests include public health, international development, and writing.
