Bio
Andy Gussert is Director of Citizens Trade Campaign (CTC), a national coalition of environmental, labor, consumer, family farm, religious, and other civil society groups founded in 1992 to improve NAFTA. A veteran of more than two dozen campaigns spanning over 20 years, Gussert wrote Pollie Award winning television ads and worked extensively in campaign management, field organizing, polling and messaging. Before directing CTC, Gussert was elected as State Federation President of AFT-Wisconsin, a labor union serving over 550 job classifications including grad students, professors, instructors, teachers, and public employees. While there, he reminded members if your job can be privatized, it can be outsourced. Before that, Gussert served as state director of CTC’s Wisconsin State Coalition. As an attorney who graduated cum laude from Miami law school, Gussert also possesses a strong background in legal, legislative, public policy and budget work. When not working in Washington D.C., Andy can be found in Madison, Wisconsin.
