Sign In Is Fair Trade really only about coffee, tea, and chocolate? Come learn about the Fair Trade world of body care and explore one business’s journey into creating a product designed to keep your body and your conscience clean. Dr. Bronners Magic Soaps is the first US based body care company to be certified Fair Trade. This workshop will focus on our Holy Land and Sri Lanka Fair Trade Projects. Having recently returned from the Holy Land I am excited to present Dr. Bronners Magic Soaps coexistence Fair Trade olive oil program – giving farmers in the West Bank a unique opportunity to sustain themselves and nonviolently resist the occupation through economics. Dr. Bronners Magic Soap’s decision to go Fair Trade is in the spirit of Dr. Emmanuel Bronner’s vision of Constructive Capitalism – sharing profits with the Earth and the workers from which you make them. As part of this workshop we will check in with the Sri Lanka Fair Trade coconut program, as my colleagues have recently returned from Sri Lanka and have created a DVD showcasing our Fair Trade program. This workshop will also be a forum for connection, future activism, and of course a great place to get fun prizes like Fair Trade and organic soap, lotion, lip balm, body balm, hair creme, and more!
